Reasons I Ship Beckett/Alexis:  1. Castle supports Alexis in her ambitions and Beckett in her desire to catch her mother’s killer, but I don’t think he fully understands the drive that they both have, because he doesn’t have it. But I think they would understand each other, and having a partner who’s similarly driven would be a source of great strength for both of them. 2. At the same time, Alexis’s sense of humor is very similar to Castle’s, and I think that’s chiefly what attracts Beckett to Castle: his levity. But that same levity does grate on her when he’s not taking things seriously enough, and I think Alexis has a better sense of when to make jokes and when not to—at least, in a way that would complement Beckett’s personality. 3. They haven’t had much screen time together, but they get along well; in past seasons, Alexis looked up to Beckett and has even asked her advice on occasion. Beckett gave her that advice without talking down to her or trying to mother her, instead treating her as more of an equal.  4. Beckett has on occasion pointed out flaws in Castle’s parenting logic because she understands aspects of Alexis’s personality that Castle doesn’t. 5. They’re gorgeous and would be gorgeous together. So, yeah, sometimes I like to picture a future, when Alexis is a little bit older, in which Beckett and Alexis get together. I’m not the OP and I honestly don’t know if they’re trolling or not, but before you reblog this confession for the lulz, please try to remember that you’re making fun of a legitimate ship—and, by extension, everyone who ships it.
